HEALTH

SICK POLICY

The school assesses communicable diseases among students and addresses individual needs. Students with such diseases may be sent home and are not allowed to return until symptom-free.

If a child wakes up with fever or vomiting, parents are advised to keep the child home. Students with a fever at school will be sent home and should be fever-free for 24 hours (without taking any fever reducer)  before returning.

A doctor’s note may be requested for a sick student’s return to ensure the health and safety of all students.

IMMUNIZATION RECORD

Immunizations are mandatory for school entry, with periodic assessments conducted. California law addresses immunization deficiencies, and parents receive written notices if their child is not up to date.

The state requires current immunizations, and parents have 10 days to ensure compliance. Students without required doses must submit written proof within 10 days, or they will be excluded from school as mandated by California State law.

COVID-19 APPROACH

The health and safety of all individuals in our schools are our utmost priorities, and we are implementing rigorous measures to minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure or transmission within our educational facilities. We are actively collaborating with local health authorities and closely adhering to the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), specifically the CDC Childcare and K-12 Guidance, to inform our decision-making.

Anyone with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 in their household must follow the CDC’s recommendation for quarantine procedures and duration.

SAFETY

PARENT APP

Our open door policy allows parents to drop by anytime to visit their children. Through our communication app, parents will be able to receive the real-time updates of the school activities and students’ academic progress.

NAPTIME SAFETY

During naptime, no lights are switched on. All teachers consistently employ visual contact and active listening techniques. Cots are equipped with age-appropriate bedding at all times. All students are required to keeping wear shoes during naptime in case of emergency.

HEALTH and CLEANIESS

Effective handwashing habits play a crucial role in preventing the spread of germs. We consistently observe children for any signs of illness, promptly informing parents if their child is unwell to curb the spread of sickness. Additionally, classrooms undergo regular cleaning and disinfection using child-safe products.

FOOD SAFETY

All food and snacks are prepared in the kitchen to appropriate size for the age group being served. During meal and snack times, all children must be supervised by a staff member seated at the same (or a nearby) table. Our menu is carefully planned to ensure your child is eating a well-balanced nutritious diet while at school.

PLAYGROUNDS and TOYS

We always disinfect toys and periodically examine them for any broken pieces or loose parts. Our playground areas are enclosed by secure fences, and safely designed to prevent playground injuries.
